Who we are
This website, https://crcc.uprrp.edu, is operated by the Center for Resilience to Climate Change (UPR-CRCC) at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, Facultad de Ciencias Naturales, Edificio Facundo Bueso, 17 Ave. Universidad STE 1701, San Juan, PR 00925-2537. This policy explains what information the site collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you use the contact form on our Get Involved page, we collect the information you enter: your first name, last name, email address and message.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit, to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, the type of browser and device you use, the website you came from, and your approximate location. Google may also process your IP address and other online identifiers in accordance with its own policies.
How we use information

- To share information about UPR-CRCC research, education and community programs when you ask us to.
- To understand how the website is used and to improve its content and performance.

How long we keep information
We keep messages sent through the contact form only as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of our communications. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of our Google Analytics account.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you sent us through the contact form by writing to the email address below. You can also limit tracking through your browser settings or the opt-out add-on described above.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
